Emirates has this week marked one year of Premium Economy flights being offer in Singapore.
The airline has been pushing this new variation of product across different destinations in the last 12 months.
Furthermore, the airline has scored some milestones in the last 12 months out of the Asian airport.
One Year of Emirates Premium Economy in Singapore…
In the last 12 months, Emirates has operated 730 Airbus A380 flights from Dubai to Singapore with the Premium Economy cabin.
This is the equivalent of 26,000 passengers handled between May 2023 and June 2024.
In their statement, they said the following on this:
“The airline’s Premium Economy product was especially popular among families and solo travellers from Singapore, with top outbound destinations including London, Dubai, Paris, Barcelona, and New York JFK.”
“Emirates’ Premium Economy can be experienced on flights EK 354 and EK 355 between Singapore and Dubai, which takes passenger comfort to new heights with an extensive suite of features that transforms the journey itself into a destination.”
“The Premium Economy cabin is located at the front of the main deck with 56 seats laid out in a 2-4-2 configuration.”
“In the cabin, every inch of space anticipates customer needs with a generous seat pitch and width for working and relaxing, and customised features that offer function and convenience like in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table.”
“The experience is rounded off with expertly curated in-flight amenities, an inventive menu, and extensive beverage options, including the Chandon Vintage Brut 2016, a global exclusive to Emirates Premium Economy passengers.”
Alfajeer: Customers Are Loving the Product…
Adding to the statement from Emirates was Rashed Alfajeer, Emirates’ Manager for Singapore & Brunei:
“We are delighted to commemorate the first anniversary of the launch of Emirates’ Premium Economy in Singapore”
“[This] serves as the ideal middle ground between Economy Class and Business Class, offering travellers a more cost-effective choice for comfort and luxury in the sky.”
“So far, customers from Singapore have loved the product and shown great interest in it. Demand and seat load are both highly positive.”
“We are committed to offering our passengers the distinctive Emirates experience whenever they fly with us”.
“[We] will continue innovating to provide customer-centric, future-forward services.”
Overall…
Over the course of 2024, Emirates has been offering it’s Premium Economy all over the world.
This, of course, includes Singapore over the last 12 months, but it has featured other destinations.
Back in January, the airline doubled their Premium Economy service to Melbourne following popular demand.
By February, the airline boosted services to Osaka, utilising the A380 with this new cabin offering.
Finally, the airline announced earlier this month that they gained three awards for their new cabin.
Overall, it is clear that the Emirates Premium Economy is working well.
And that is anywhere in the world that they currently serve the product on at this present time.
All eyes will be on how much further the airline will expand this offering globally.
