Emirates Launches New Daily Dubai-Hangzhou Flight

Hangzhou will become Emirates’ fifth destination in mainland China, with a daily service now set to launch from Dubai on 30 July.

Emirates, the world’s leading international airline, will introduce a daily non-stop flight between Dubai and Hangzhou starting July 30.

This new route establishes Hangzhou as Emirates’ fifth destination in mainland China, joining Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.

The expansion further strengthens the airline’s presence in East Asia and supports growing economic ties between the Middle East and China.

Boeing 777-300ER Operations


The service will utilize a Boeing 777-300ER, configured with three classes and offering 2,478 weekly seats. Flight EK310 departs Dubai at 9:40 AM, arriving in Hangzhou at 10:00 PM.

The return flight, EK311, leaves Hangzhou at 12:10 AM, landing in Dubai at 4:55 AM. These timings are designed to provide seamless connections across the network.

This includes 38 European cities, 22 African destinations, 11 Middle Eastern locations, and countries like Brazil and Argentina. Travelers can easily reach key hubs such as Istanbul, Barcelona, Cairo, and Johannesburg.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the significance of the new route. “Launching flights to Hangzhou is a milestone for our operations in mainland China and East Asia.”

“As a global hub for innovation and e-commerce, Hangzhou opens new opportunities for passengers and cargo. This route strengthens economic and technological ties between the Middle East and China.”

Kazim added further detail. “Our fifth gateway in mainland China enhances connectivity for travelers and provides businesses with efficient access to East Asian markets.”

“This aligns with our global growth strategy, positioning Emirates as the preferred airline for connecting the world to China’s economic hubs. We thank local authorities for their support and look forward to fostering greater global connectivity together.”

Hangzhou: A Rising Tech and Cultural Hub

Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER offers a luxurious travel experience. The aircraft features eight First Class suites, 42 angle-flat Business Class seats, and 304 ergonomic Economy Class seats.

Passengers can enjoy the airline’s award-winning ice inflight entertainment system, with over 6,500 channels in more than 40 languages, including Chinese.

The menu includes regionally inspired dishes, such as popular Chinese meals and desserts, ensuring a culturally immersive journey.

Boosting Cargo and Trade


Emirates SkyCargo will leverage the new route to enhance trade between China and the UAE, reinforcing Hangzhou’s role as a major cargo and e-commerce hub.

The service will streamline the transport of high-value goods like electronics, pharmaceuticals, and perishables to regions including Africa, Latin America, and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Faster transit times and reliable air freight solutions will meet the growing demand for efficient logistics in East Asia.

With the addition of Hangzhou, Emirates will operate 49 weekly flights to mainland China, including double daily services to Beijing and Shanghai, and daily flights to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and now Hangzhou.
