Emirates is deploying its upgraded Boeing 777 aircraft to eight additional destinations across its global network.
The latest planned deployments include Lisbon, Dublin, Hong Kong, Male, Kolkata, Colombo, Johannesburg and Cape Town.
This strategic move forms part of the airline’s ambitious $5 billion retrofit program. By September, 44 cities will be served with aircraft sporting Emirates’ latest cabin interiors. The retrofitted Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft will serve on over 379 weekly departures.
Emirates Retrofit Program Continues
The landmark retrofit program continues to progress at an impressive pace. It is currently seeing one aircraft receive a comprehensive makeover and return to service every three weeks.
By September 2025, Emirates aims to serve 44 cities with its refurbished Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 fleets. This initiative underscores the airline’s dedication to maintaining a modern and luxurious fleet.

Latest Network Aditions
Starting June 1, 2025, passengers travelling to Lisbon will experience the upgraded Boeing 777 cabins. This will operate on flights EK 191/192 and EK 193/194. This marks the beginning of a series of enhancements across various routes.
Dublin will welcome Emirates’ latest Business and Premium Economy cabins on flight EK 161/162 from June 25. Similarly, Hong Kong, SAR, becomes the second Chinese destination to benefit from the retrofitted Boeing 777. The aircraft will serve flights EK 382/383 starting July 15.
For those heading to the Maldives, an enhanced onboard experience awaits with refreshed interiors. This applies to flights EK 658/659 from June 1, and flights EK 656/657 and EK 660/661 from July 15.

Kolkata will see the upgraded Boeing 777 operating on flight EK 572/573, with four weekly flights commencing August 10. Colombo is also set to receive the refreshed interiors on its daily EK 650/651 flights from August 10. The aircraft will complement the newly introduced A350 operations.
Reinforcing its commitment to South Africa, Emirates will introduce Premium Economy and refreshed Business Class cabins to Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Johannesburg will see the upgraded Boeing 777 on daily flights EK 765/766 from September 1. Flights EK 761/762 will then follow from September 25. Cape Town will receive the latest interiors on daily flight EK 770/771 from September 20.
Additionally, London Stansted will benefit from a second daily service with the refreshed Boeing 777 interiors. The aircraft will operate flights EK 067/068 from June 1.

Four-Class Cabin Configuration
The refurbished Emirates Boeing 777 features a four-class configuration. It highlights the airline’s signature Premium Economy and newly designed Business Class cabins.
The Business Class seats, arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, offer passengers enhanced privacy. There is direct aisle access, and ample space for work and relaxation.
Each refreshed Boeing 777 includes 24 Premium Economy seats and 260 Economy Class seats, ensuring a comfortable journey for all passengers.
