Emirates Debuts A350 in India on Mumbai and Ahmedabad Flights

Emirates is set to launch its Airbus A350 services to Mumbai and Ahmedabad on 26 January, marking an expansion of its Indian operations.

Emirates is preparing to launch its Airbus A350 services to Mumbai and Ahmedabad on 26 January, marking a significant expansion of its Indian operations.

This strategic move underscores the airline’s focus on the rapidly growing Indian air travel market. It also continues the deployment of the airline’s new widebody aircraft on international long haul operations.

Mumbai and Ahmedabad Flight Details


Emirates will operate daily flights connecting Dubai with Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The Mumbai route includes EK502, departing Dubai at 1:15 PM and arriving in Mumbai at 5:50 PM. The return flight EK503 then leaves Mumbai at 7:20 PM and arrives in Dubai at 9:05 PM.

The Ahmedabad route is supported by EK538, departing Dubai at 10:50 PM and landing in Ahmedabad at 2:55 AM the next day. The return flight EK539 then departs Ahmedabad at 4:25 AM and arrives in Dubai at 6:15 AM.

Airbus A350 Highlights


The A350 represents a technological advance in commercial aviation, offering passengers an unparalleled travel experience.

Cabin Specifications

Capable of accommodating 312 passengers, the A350 offers a meticulously designed cabin layout. The configuration includes 32 Business Class lie-flat seats, providing maximum comfort for business travellers. 21 Premium Economy seats offer an enhanced travel experience, with 259 generously spaced Economy Class seats.

Environmentally conscious travelers will appreciate that this aircraft is recognized as the most fuel-efficient large widebody aircraft in commercial service. In addition, its design ensures the quietest twin-aisle cabin experience available.

Upcoming Destinations


Emirates has ambitious expansion plans for the A350, with upcoming services to six additional global destinations. These include Kuwait, Bahrain, Colombo, Lyon, Muscat, and Bologna, reflecting the airline’s commitment to expanding its global network and offering passengers more connectivity options.

This launch follows the aircraft’s inaugural commercial flight to Edinburgh and complements Emirates’ existing services to Mumbai and Bangalore using the A380.

Currently, the airline operates 167 weekly flights to nine destinations in India, providing passengers with diverse travel options and enhanced connectivity across the region.
