Emirates and Condor have signed a codeshare agreement, significantly boosting their existing partnership. This new cooperation, subject to government approvals, will begin in October 2024.
The agreement offers Emirates passengers seamless connections and a wider variety of choices when traveling on Condor-operated flights via Germany.
These flights connect to popular destinations in Majorca, the Canary Islands, North, Central, and South America, and the Caribbean.
Expanded Network for Both Airlines
Condor will also benefit from this expanded partnership. They will be able to place their marketing code “DE” on Emirates flights that travel beyond Dubai.
This opens doors for Condor’s customers to explore a wealth of exciting destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and the Indian subcontinent.
Notably, the codeshare activation coincides with the launch of Condor’s new Berlin-Dubai route in October.
The agreement signing took place at the IATA Annual General Meeting in Dubai. Adnan Kazim, Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor, signed the agreement in the presence of executives from both airlines.
Airline Leadership Comments
Adnan Kazim, Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his satisfaction with the strengthened partnership.
He highlighted the benefits for Condor’s passengers, who will gain access to Emirates’ network and signature in-flight service.
He also emphasized Emirates’ extensive network, with commercial cooperation agreements with over 161 partners, reaching more than 1650 destinations worldwide.
Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor views the partnership as a strategic milestone for Condor. He believes the codeshare will offer smoother connections and a wider range of destinations for Condor’s passengers.
He emphasized the benefits of experiencing the best aspects of both airlines on all flights.
Building on Existing Collaboration
This codeshare agreement builds upon the successful interline agreement established between Emirates and Condor in November 2023.
The interline agreement provided connectivity on 70 routes across various regions and offered a hassle-free travel experience with a single ticket and baggage policy.
Additionally, a frequent flyer program agreement allows Emirates Skywards members to earn and redeem miles on Condor flights.
