Emirates is charting a course for ambitious growth and worldwide expansion, revealing that it aims to recruit over 1,500 new pilots in the next two years.

The announcement was made on World Pilots’ Day, as Emirates proudly acknowledged its pilots and the global aviation community.

Since the start of 2022, the airline has welcomed nearly 2,000 new pilots. The latest milestone highlights the scale of Emirates’ vision for short to medium term growth.

A Fast Track to Leadership

Emirates’ innovative Accelerated Command Programme is a cornerstone of its pilot development strategy. This initiative accelerates the journey for First Officers to become Captains, with over 80 pilots currently progressing toward this prestigious role.

The programme reflects Emirates’ investment in nurturing talent and fostering leadership, ensuring its pilots are equipped to helm one of the world’s most advanced fleets.

Emirates pilots command a modern fleet of 261 wide-body aircraft, including the iconic Airbus A380, Boeing 777, and the newly introduced A350.

Operating flights to over 148 destinations across six continents, they connect vibrant cities like San Francisco and Sydney with destinations like the Maldives and Mauritius.

Emirates and the FA Cup are set to continue their successful partnership with a new four-year extension starting in the 2024/25 season.

Life in Dubai

Beyond the cockpit, Emirates pilots enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle in Dubai. They receive a competitive, tax-free salary complemented by profit-sharing benefits, ensuring financial security.

Comprehensive benefits include a robust provident fund, retirement plans, and life, medical, and dental coverage. Pilots are chauffeured to work in luxury vehicles and reside in spacious villas within gated communities, blending comfort and convenience.

Emirates fosters work-life balance with 42 days of annual leave and generous travel perks. Pilots and their families can explore the world in First or Business Class, with discounted tickets extending to friends and extended family.

An advanced rostering system allows pilots to bid for preferred flights and destinations, ensuring they can cherish special moments with loved ones.

Dubai’s vibrant, multicultural community welcomes pilots from over 112 countries. The city boasts world-class infrastructure, top-tier hospitality, and family-friendly amenities, including international schools and lively nightlife.

It’s little wonder Dubai is a top choice for expatriates seeking an exceptional quality of life.

Additionally, the Premium Club Membership grants pilots and their families access to premium fitness and leisure facilities. These are select Dubai clubs, promoting wellness and relaxation.

Global Recruitment Drive

To support its growth, Emirates is actively recruiting experienced pilots for four programmes: Direct Entry Captains, Accelerated Command, First Officers Type Rated, and First Officers Non-Type Rated.

New hires join a thriving community of 4,600 flight crew members. Since 2022, nearly 2,000 pilots have joined Emirates, and the airline aims to recruit over 550 more this year.

Recruitment roadshows will span over 40 cities globally, with upcoming events in Norway, Finland, and Sweden following successful sessions in Italy.
