In the last hour, a Norwegian Boeing 737 operating D83665 between Palma de Mallorca and Copenhagen declared an emergency in Hannover.

Information is limited regarding this incident, but below is what we know on this so far.

Norwegian Flight D83665 – Palma de Mallorca to Hannover…


In the last hour, a Norwegian Boeing 737 operating D83665 between Palma de Mallorca and Copenhagen declared an emergency in Hannover.

Norwegian flight D83665, which declared an emergency in Hannover, is a routine scheduled flight between Palma de Mallorca and Copenhagen.

The aircraft involved in the incident is registered as SE-RRO.

As per data from Planespotters.net, SE-RRO is a 13.3 year old Boeing 737-800 that was delivered to the Norway subsidiary of the airline in March 2011.

By October 2019, it was transferred over to the Swedish AOC.

Of the 737-800 variant, Norwegian Air Sweden have 25 of them in their fleet.

Furthermore, of that 25, all of them are in active service with an average fleet age of 10.2 years.

As well as the 737-800 variant, they also have 16 737 MAX 8s with an average fleet age of 2.0 years.

Norwegian flight D83665 departed Palma de Mallorca at 1005 local time this morning and tracked north to Copenhagen.

Over the Frankfurt area, the aircraft started descending all of a sudden.

Furthermore, as the aircraft got closer to Hannover, the crew declared an emergency via the 7700 squawk code.

Around 5-10 minutes afterwards, the aircraft made a safe arrival, landing at 1207 local time.

At this stage, it is unclear what the nature of the emergency in Hannover is onboard Norwegian flight D83363 Palma de Mallorca-Copenhagen.

Information continues to be limited on this particular incident.

What we do know is that the aircraft hasn’t departed the German airport at the time of writing (14/6/24 @ 1200 UK time).
