Luxair flight LG4883, which made the emergency landing, is a routine scheduled flight between Luxembourg and Dublin.

The aircraft involved in the incident is LX-LQI.

As per data from Planespotters.net, LX-LQI is a 7.8 year old Bombardier Dash 8 that was delivered to the airline in September 2016.

Of the Dash 8 variant, Luxair has 11 of them in their fleet.

On top of that, they also have 10 Boeing 737 Family aircraft in their fleet as well.

LG4883 departed Luxembourg at 1310 local time earlier today and initially tracked west towards Dublin.

During the descent into the Irish airport, the aircraft was forced to make a series of deviations and holds.

From there, the crew advised air traffic control that it needed to make an emergency landing.

The aircraft landed safely without further incident at 1454 local time.

As per @Shauns_Aviation on X, it is understood that the reason for the emergency landing on Luxair flight LG4883 Luxembourg-Dublin was due to engine issues.

It is understood also that the aircraft was met by emergency crews on arrival into the airport.

Following checks from the crews, the aircraft was able to taxi to the gate safely, where passengers disembarked.

As soon as we have more information pertinent to this incident, then we will update you accordingly.

For now, this remains a developing story pending additional updates in due course.
