Embraer’s E190-E2 and E195-E2 have earned type acceptance certificates from the Mongolia Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA).

This achievement marks a significant step for Embraer, allowing its advanced E-Jets E2 family to enter Mongolia’s expanding aviation market.

Known for their operational flexibility, Embraer’s E-Jets are the world’s most fuel-efficient and quiet single-aisle jets. Their operational characteristics make them a good fit for the Mongolian aviation sector.

MCAA Certification

The MCAA conducted evaluations to ensure the aircraft meet strict safety and performance standards.

These jets already hold certifications from major global aviation bodies. These includes the FAA (United States), EASA (Europe), ANAC (Brazil), CAAS (Singapore), and CAAC (China).

The MCAA’s approval confirms the E2’s readiness to operate in Mongolia, aligning with international benchmarks.

Martyn Holmes, Chief Commercial Officer of Embraer Commercial Aviation, expressed gratitude for the MCAA’s trust in their aircraft. “We’re thrilled with this certification, which opens new doors for Embraer in Mongolia,” Holmes said.

“The E2 jets are ideal for Mongolian airlines looking to upgrade their fleets and expand routes. We’re excited to support the country’s growing aviation sector with these innovative aircraft.”

Embraer’s Operational Footprint in Mongolia

Embraer’s journey in Mongolia began in 2018 when Aero Mongolia introduced the ERJ 145. In 2019, Hunnu Air, Mongolia’s largest private airline, added two E190 jets to its fleet.

These aircraft have proven their efficiency and flexibility, serving both domestic and international routes connecting Mongolia to nearby countries.

In 2023, Hunnu Air further expanded its network by launching direct flights from Ulaanbaatar to Beijing Daxing using E-Jets.

These milestones highlight Embraer’s strong partnership with Mongolian carriers, helping modernize and grow the nation’s aviation industry.

The E190-E2 and E195-E2 offer airlines cutting-edge technology, lower fuel consumption, and reduced noise levels, making them a smart choice for Mongolia’s market.

As demand for air travel rises, these jets are poised to enhance connectivity and support sustainable growth. Embraer’s commitment to Mongolia’s aviation future is clear, with the E2 family set to play a key role in transforming the country’s skies.
