Embraer recently celebrated a landmark achievement in the history of its E-Jet program – the delivery of the 1800th production aircraft.
This milestone highlights the program’s enduring success and solidifies the E-Jet’s position in the regional aviation market sector.
The landmark delivery took place at Embraer’s facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil. The aircraft, an E190-E2 variant, was delivered to national carrier Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ).
This also continues a strong and enduring partnership between the two companies. The latest addition brings RJ’s E2 fleet to three aircraft, with a total of eight E2s still on order.
From 2004: The E-Jet Program
Launched in 2004, the E-Jet program has revolutionized regional aviation. These versatile jets are now known for their efficiency and passenger comfort.
They have now become a mainstay fleets across the world. E-Jets have a presence in over 90 airlines and leasing companies, operating in more than 60 countries.
The program’s impressive track record speaks for itself. E-Jets have transported a staggering two billion passengers on a remarkable 26 million flights. Overall, this represents a total distance of 140 million kilometers flown.
The E190-E2, the latest evolution of the E-Jet family, pushes the boundaries of efficiency even further. This advanced-generation aircraft boasts the quietest, lowest polluting, and most fuel-efficient operation in the under-150 seat market segment.

Samer Majali, Vice Chairman and CEO of Royal Jordanian Airlines, directed his comments towards the aircraft compatibility. He highlighted the E2’s perfect alignment with their strategic goals for regional connectivity and growth.
He praised the aircraft’s exceptional efficiency, flexibility, and passenger comfort. All of these factors contribute to fleet modernization and a more sustainable future for aviation.
John Evans, CEO and Founder of Azorra, the lessor involved in the delivery, echoed similar sentiments.
He expressed his honor at being part of this milestone and emphasized the bright future he sees for the E2 family, citing their efficiency, passenger experience, and economic advantages.

Excitingly, he announced that later this year, the company will unveil further performance enhancements for the E2s.
