In the last few moments, easyJet flight U23163 bound for Faro has declared an emergency not long after departure from Glasgow.
G-EZFT is the aircraft involved in the incident.

UPDATE #1 @ 1902 UK time – The aircraft is currently in a hold whilst descending to a decent enough altitude to prepare for an emergency landing.
UPDATE #2 @ 1908 UK time – G-EZFT is the aircraft involved in this incident.
Furthermore, as per Planespotters, G-EZFT is a 14.7 year old Airbus A319.
It was delivered to the UK subsidiary of the airline in orange back in December 2009.
Moreover, of the A319 variant, easyJet UK have 47 of them in their fleet.
Of that 47, all are in active service and have an average fleet age of 16.1 years.
UPDATE #3 @ 1910 UK time – easyJet flight U23163, originally bound for Faro, has exited it’s holds and is on the base leg back into Glasgow following it’s emergency declaration.
EMERGENCY UPDATE #4 @ 1913 UK time – U23163 is now on final approach into GLA. Emergency landing is imminent.
Furthermore, at this stage, the cause of the emergency is unknown.
UPDATE #5 @ 1918 UK time – TOUCHDOWN!
easyJet flight U23163, originally bound for Faro, has touched down back into Glasgow due to the emergency.
Also, at this stage, the cause is still unknown.
Furthermore, as soon as we have more information on this, we will update you accordingly.
For now, this remains a developing story.

UPDATE #6 @ 1920 UK time – As per @FlightEmergency on X, it is understood the cause of the emergency was a engine thrust lever issue.
