Delta Airlines is boosting its presence in Austin by introducing five new routes from the Texas capital. Beginning March 2025, Delta will launch daily nonstop flights to Panama City, FL (ECP).

The airline is also adding nonstop services to Indianapolis (IND), Memphis (MEM), San Francisco (SFO), and Tampa (TPA). The network additions will offer Austin travelers an unprecedented range of travel options.

Joe Esposito, Delta’s S.V.P. of Network Planning, stated, “Our commitment to Austin is clear. These new routes and the planned 55 peak-day departures for Summer 2025 reinforce that commitment.”

“This expansion builds on the 20% seat capacity increase we implemented in April, connecting Austin to major corporate and leisure markets both within and outside Texas, extending throughout our global network.”

Scott Santoro, V.P. of Sales, added, “We’re constantly adapting to Austin’s growth and needs. Our dedicated corporate sales team is ready to assist all customers traveling to, from, and through this vital tech and business hub.”

Spring Break and Mardi Gras: March Additions

From March 9, travelers can enjoy nonstop flights to Panama City (ECP), ideal for Spring Break getaways to Florida’s pristine beaches. Delta Connection carrier SkyWest will operate this daily service using an Embraer ERJ-175, featuring First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.

This route complements the recently announced Austin to New Orleans (MSY) service, launching February 27, just in time for Mardi Gras and Spring Break celebrations.

Exclusive Nonstop Service: May Additions

Starting May 7, Delta will introduce the only nonstop service between Austin and Memphis, along with a new route to Indianapolis. These additions will facilitate seamless connections to key business and cultural destinations.

The Memphis route offers quick access to the iconic Beale Street, while the Indianapolis service caters to business travelers. Both daily flights will be operated by Delta Connection carrier SkyWest on Embraer ERJ-175 aircraft.

Bicoastal Connections: June Additions

Delta’s expansion culminates on June 8 with new nonstop services to San Francisco (SFO) and Tampa (TPA).

The Austin-San Francisco route will connect two of America’s leading tech and innovation hubs. Meanwhile, the Austin-Tampa service provides access to Florida’s stunning Gulf Coast and a growing business center.

Airbus A220-300 Operations

These daily flights will utilize Delta’s new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, equipped with First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin. The A220-300 features a 2×3 configuration, reducing middle seats by 50%.

It also boasts large windows, expanded overhead bins, and complimentary fast Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members. Combined with seat-back entertainment offering 1,000+ hours of content, this aircraft is ideal for both business and leisure travelers seeking productivity or relaxation.
