In the last 15 minutes, Delta Air Lines flight DL2994 from Detroit has declared an emergency during it’s approach into Jacksonville.
Information is limited surrounding this incident, but below is what we know on this so far.

Delta Air Lines flight DL2994, which declared an emergency, is a routine scheduled flight between Detroit and Jacksonville.
Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident is N341NW.
As per data from Planespotters.net, N341NW is a 31.8 year old Airbus A320 that started out life with Northwest Airlines in January 1993.
Following the merger with DL, the aircraft was handed over to the Delta Air Lines registry in October 2008.
Furthermore, of the A320ceo variant, the U.S carrier has 58 of them in their fleet.
Within that 58, all but four are in active service, with an average fleet age of 28.7 years.
As well as the A320ceo, Delta Air Lines has the following other aircraft in their fleet:
– 71 A220s.
– 57 A319s.
– 188 A321s.
– 71 A330s.
– 32 A350s.
– 88 Boeing 717s.
– 240 737s.
– 121 757s.
– 64 767s.
Delta Air Lines flight DL2994 departed Detroit at 1646 local time today and tracked south towards Jacksonville.
Everything was routine in the flight until the approach into it’s destination.
The aircraft has appeared to had cancel it’s approach and go-around, whilst squawking the 7700 emergency squawk code at the same time.
Following that, the aircraft made another attempt and landed safely without further incident at 1907 local time.
Reason Unclear At This Time…
At this stage, the cause of the emergency onboard Delta Air Lines flight DL2994 Detroit-Jacksonville is unclear.
With this emergency only coming to an end in the last few minutes, information is still limited surrounding the cause.
