In the last few moments, Delta Air Lines flight DL135 from Amsterdam to Detroit has declared an emergency and is diverting to Dublin.

N819NW is the aircraft involved in the incident.

In the last few moments, Delta Air Lines flight DL135 from Amsterdam to Detroit has declared an emergency and is diverting to Dublin.

UPDATE #1 @ 1414 UK time – DL135 had made a u-turn over the Atlantic following the emergency declaration.

UPDATE #2 @ 1417 UK time – N819NW is the aircraft involved in the incident.

Furthermore, as per Planespotters, N819NW is a 17.6 year old Airbus A330-300 that was delivered to the airline in October 2008.

Of the A330-300 variant, the U.S carrier has 31 of them in their fleet.

Within the 31, all but three are in active service, with an average fleet age of 16.1 years.

UPDATE #3 @ 1420 UK time – DL135 has made a descent through 15,000 feet at present.

In the last few moments, Delta Air Lines flight DL135 from Amsterdam to Detroit has declared an emergency and is diverting to Dublin.

UPDATE #4 @ 1424 UK time – Emergency Delta Air Lines flight DL135 Amsterdam-Detroit has levelled off at 10,000 feet.

This could indicate the possibility of a cabin depressurisation event.

The aircraft is still continuing on to Dublin.

At this stage, it is still unconfirmed what the cause of the emergency is.

The aircraft is still continuing to the diversion field of Dublin.

UPDATE #6 @ 1447 UK time – The diversion has now started the next stage of descent from FL100 as they get ready for an emergency landing.

UPDATE #7 @ 1450 UK time – Reports coming in of a strange odour onboard which is causing illness with cabin crew.

EMERGENCY UPDATE #8 @ 1453 UK time – DL135 is approaching the base leg for the 28s into Dublin.

UPDATE #9 @ 1457 UK time – The aircraft is now on final approach. Emergency landing expected imminently.

EMERGENCY UPDATE #10 @ 1501 UK time – TOUCHDOWN!

Delta Air Lines flight DL135 Amsterdam-Detroit has appeared to have landed safely into Dublin.

It is unclear whether the flight will continue on to DTW given the odour onboard.
