Condor has significantly broadened its European network, launching new city connections from Frankfurt am Main to Munich, Vienna, and Zurich.

This expansion marks a key moment for the airline, enhancing its appeal to both leisure and business travelers.

Inaugural Services from Frankfurt

On Sunday, 30 March 2025, Condor took up its city connections from Frankfurt am Main to Munich, Vienna and Zurich.

The inaugural day commenced with the early morning departure of flight DE4311 to Zurich (ZRH), lifting off from Frankfurt at approximately 6:15 a.m.

Shortly after, at roughly 6:50 a.m., Condor flight DE4427 embarked on its maiden voyage to Munich (MUC). In the afternoon, at around 2:50 p.m., flight DE4349 took to the skies, inaugurating the route to Vienna (VIE).

These new routes offer increased flexibility for passengers. Condor now provides two daily flights from Frankfurt to both Munich and Zurich, catering to diverse travel schedules.

The Vienna route is serviced once daily from Frankfurt, ensuring convenient connections to the Austrian capital.

Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor commented on the European service expansion. “Following the successful introduction of our city flights to Berlin and Hamburg earlier in March, the Condor City network is rapidly developing with these three new additions.”

“This expansion strengthens our position as a preferred airline for private, business, and connecting travelers. We are particularly excited to establish a presence at Vienna and Zurich airports, each with a dedicated base aircraft.”

Condor On-Board Experience

Passengers traveling on these new routes will experience the comfort and efficiency of Condor’s modern fleet, including the brand-new Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft. The airline offers a two-class configuration, comprising Business Class and Economy Class, designed to meet the varying needs of its passengers.

Business Class travelers can enjoy complimentary drinks and a selection of high-quality snacks, ensuring a comfortable and productive journey. Economy Class passengers receive complimentary water and a sweet treat, providing a pleasant travel experience.

Expanding European City Destinations

The launch of the Munich route completes Condor’s domestic German flight offerings, which now seamlessly connect Frankfurt with Hamburg, Berlin, and the Bavarian capital. This comprehensive domestic network enhances connectivity to Condor’s extensive long-haul destinations.

The addition of Vienna and Zurich marks the beginning of Condor’s expansion into European city destinations. This growth will continue with the launch of flights to Rome (FCO) and Palermo (PMO) on April 5, 2025. Both Italian cities will be served daily from Frankfurt, with Palermo accessible via a stopover in Rome.

Further expanding its European reach, Condor will introduce flights to Milan (MXP), Paris (CDG), and Prague (PRG) in May.

Conclusion

This expansion is significant for Condor, solidifying its position as a key player in the European aviation market. The increased frequency and destinations offered by Condor provide travelers with greater flexibility and convenience.

By utilizing modern aircraft and offering a comfortable on-board experience, Condor aims to attract a wider range of passengers. The strategic timing and the adding of key European cities demonstrate a well thought out plan for growth.

The expansion benefits passengers by offering more choices and connections, and it strengthens Condor’s network, making it a more competitive airline.

As Condor continues to grow its city network, travelers can look forward to even more convenient and efficient travel options across Europe.
