In a bold move to enhance its premium offerings, JetBlue (Nasdaq: JBLU) has announced plans to launch its first-ever airport lounges in New York and Boston.

Set to open in late 2025, the inaugural lounge will grace New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 5, with a second location following shortly after at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) Terminal C.

This exciting development marks a significant milestone in JetBlue’s ‘JetForward’ strategy, aimed at meeting the growing demand for upscale travel experiences.

Targeting Premium Demand

Marty St. George, JetBlue’s president, spoke enthusiastically about the new venture. “Our customers have been requesting JetBlue lounges for years, and we’re thrilled to finally unveil our unique take in New York and Boston.”

“These lounges will not only enhance the value of our TrueBlue loyalty program but also complement our expanding credit card portfolio, offering a premium experience that aligns with JetBlue’s commitment to customer satisfaction.”

As New York’s Hometown Airline® and Boston’s preferred carrier, JetBlue is poised to transform the travel experience in its two largest focus cities.

The new lounges will offer a relaxed retreat for customers to play, work, and unwind, effectively extending JetBlue’s affordable premium experience from the sky to the ground.

Exclusive Access and Premium Perks

Understanding the industry-wide challenge of overcrowding in airport lounges, JetBlue has crafted an access policy that prioritizes its most loyal customers and premium credit cardholders. Complimentary entry will be available to:

  • Holders of a soon-to-be-announced premium JetBlue credit card
  • TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members
  • Transatlantic Mint customers

In a move to further reward loyalty, TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members and the new premium credit cardholders will have the added benefit of bringing one guest for free.

For other travelers seeking to elevate their pre-flight experience, day passes and guest passes will be available for purchase, subject to space availability. JetBlue will also offer an annual pass option, making the lounges accessible to a broader range of travelers who value a premium airport experience.

JetBlue Mosaic Experience

The introduction of airport lounges marks yet another milestone in the 12-year history of JetBlue’s Mosaic program.

As a new Signature Perk, Mosaic 4 members will enjoy complimentary lounge access for themselves and a guest, significantly boosting the value proposition of JetBlue’s top-tier loyalty status.

Beginning in 2025, JetBlue will upgrade its popular Move to Mint benefit. Mosaic members who have earned 250 tiles will receive two additional Move to Mint certificates for every 100 tiles they earn thereafter.

This change allows Mosaic members to continue earning Move to Mint certificates without cap, providing more opportunities to experience JetBlue’s award-winning Mint service.

A Space Designed for Modern Travel

The JFK lounge will span an impressive 8,000 square feet, while the Boston location will offer even more space at 11,000 square feet. Both lounges will seamlessly blend JetBlue’s iconic branding with local and regional artwork, creating a unique sense of place within each city.

Designed with the modern traveler in mind, the lounges will feature three distinct areas:

  1. Play: A vibrant social space where customers can unwind and socialize. The centerpiece will be a full-service bar, where mixologists will craft complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  2. Work: For those needing to stay productive, private workspaces will offer fast and free Wi-Fi, abundant power outlets, and a complimentary barista-made coffee bar to fuel busy minds.
  3. Lounge: Comfortable seating areas will provide a cozy retreat for relaxation, complete with complimentary food and beverage offerings.

Throughout these spaces, JetBlue’s renowned customer service will be at the forefront, delivered by specially trained crew members who embody the airline’s commitment to hospitality.

Strengthening East Coast Dominance

This lounge initiative further solidifies JetBlue’s position as a leader in leisure and premium travel on the East Coast.

The airline already offers more than 20 percent more lie-flat seats from Boston than any other carrier. Recent announcements of expanded service in New England suggest JetBlue’s drive to grow its presence in the region.

With the countdown to late 2025 now underway, travelers can look forward to experiencing JetBlue’s unique blend of premium service and down-to-earth hospitality in these exciting new airport spaces.
