Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) is expanding its flight network from Iloilo. This continues the carrier’s commitment to further strengthen air connectivity across the Philippines.
The country’s leading airline is set to resume flights to Tacloban and launch a new direct route to Zamboanga.
Iloilo: ‘City of Love’
This expansion will bring the total number of direct flights from Iloilo, often called the City of Love, to 11 by late November. This significantly boosts its connectivity within the Philippines and to international destinations.
Starting October 27, 2024, flights between Iloilo and Tacloban will operate four times weekly. Departures are scheduled every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. The new Iloilo-Zamboanga route will commence on October 28, 2024. This will see the airline offering flights three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the importance of these new routes: “Our expansion in Iloilo aligns with our mission of making air travel more accessible to a wider range of passengers.”
“We’re excited to connect more Juans across our growing inter-island network, enabling them to explore the diverse beauty of the Philippines.”
To celebrate the launch of these routes, Cebu Pacific is offering an enticing promotion. From now until September 15, 2024, passengers can book flights from Iloilo to either Tacloban or Zamboanga for as low as PHP 1 one-way base fare, excluding fees and surcharges. This special offer applies to travel between October 27/28, 2024, and May 31, 2025.
These new routes open up exciting opportunities for travelers. Visitors to Tacloban and Zamboanga can indulge in local delicacies and explore historical landmarks.
Those heading to Iloilo will have the chance to admire ancestral houses and discover the renowned Gigantes Islands.
