Cebu Pacific (CEB) celebrates 10 years of Sydney-Manila flights, with plans to upgrade the flight frequency to a daily service.

Starting December 1, 2024, Sydney Airport will become Australia’s sole airport supporting daily flights to the sought-after destination of Manila.

Sydney-Manila Daily Flights

The increased service will be supported by Cebu Pacific’s Airbus A330neo aircraft. These widebody aircraft are configured with 459 Economy Class seats. They offer greater capacity as well as improved fuel efficiency. Compared to older models, the A330neo uses 15% less fuel per flight and generates less noise, reducing carbon emissions.

With this upgrade, Sydney Airport now leads Australia in Philippine connectivity. The new schedule will boost seat capacity to Manila by 44% compared to December 2019 levels, offering 3,213 weekly seats.

To mark this expansion, CEB is running a special promotion. From September 6-10, 2024, travelers can book Sydney to Manila flights for as low as AUD 209 one-way (all-inclusive). This deal is perfect for planning summer trips to the Philippines.

A Win for Sydney

Sydney Airport CEO Scott Charlton said, “We’re excited to be Australia’s only airport with daily Manila flights. This service gives passengers unmatched flexibility when traveling to Sydney.”

He added, “This route strengthens our Philippine ties and offers easy access to Manila for business and leisure. We’re happy to support Cebu Pacific in this venture and anticipate its positive impact on both communities.”

CEB originally launched its Sydney-Manila route on September 9, 2014. Since then, it has become one of the airline’s most popular international services.
