Cathay Pacific Inaugurates New Hong Kong-Dallas Route

Cathay Pacific has expanded its North American network; inaugurating a new non-stop service between Hong Kong and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport on April 24, 2025.

Cathay Pacific has welcomed a new addition to its network with the launch of non-stop flights between Hong Kong and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport on April 24, 2025.

The latest addition marks the sixth new passenger destination introduced by the Cathay Group, which includes Cathay Pacific and its low-cost carrier HK Express, in 2025.

 With 15 new destinations already announced for the year and more on the horizon, the airline is rapidly expanding its global reach.

Strengthening North American Network


The new Hong Kong-Dallas route strengthens Cathay Pacific’s North American network, boosting connectivity through its Hong Kong hub. It offers travelers more choices and seamless travel options.

To celebrate this milestone, Cathay Director Customer Travel Erica Peng and Airport Authority Hong Kong Executive Director of Airport Operations Steven Yiu Siu-chung joined a special launch event at Hong Kong International Airport.

Lavinia Lau, Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, gave comment on the occasion. “Launching direct flights to Dallas for the first time shows our dedication to connecting customers to vibrant global destinations from Hong Kong. Our passenger network will soon surpass 100 destinations in the first half of 2025.”

“Through codeshares and flight options, travelers can easily reach U.S. domestic cities or explore Central and South America via Dallas Fort Worth. We warmly invite passengers from Dallas and the Americas to experience Hong Kong or connect to our extensive global network.”

Airbus A350-1000 Operations


Cathay Pacific operates four weekly return flights on this route, using its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. These planes feature comfortable Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins, ensuring a pleasant journey.

This summer, during peak travel season, Cathay Pacific will offer over 110 weekly return flights to eight North American cities: Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Beyond Dallas, Cathay Pacific has further launches planned. A new non-stop service to Urumqi begins on April 28, followed by Rome on June 5.

Munich will be next to see an inaugural service on June 16, and then Brussels on August 3. These additions reflect the airline’s commitment to expanding its footprint and offering diverse travel options.

Conclusion


The Dallas route also complements Cathay Cargo’s existing freighter services to the city via Anchorage. This summer, Cathay Cargo will operate nearly 40 weekly return freighter flights to North America, supporting global trade and logistics.

By launching the Hong Kong-Dallas route, Cathay Pacific strengthens its role as a key connector between Asia and the Americas.

The airline continues to enhance its Hong Kong hub, making it easier for travelers to explore the world.
