Arajet, the fast-growing Dominican airline, has taken delivery of its tenth Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, further expanding its fuel-efficient fleet.
This new 737 MAX 8, acquired through a lessor, supports Arajet’s ambitious growth plans across the Americas.
Arajet, the first low-fare airline in the Caribbean region, now flies the 737 MAX to 23 destinations.
As its growth plan continues, the airline aims to more than double its destinations in the coming years.
A Further Milestone for Arajet

Since its launch in 2022, Arajet has rapidly grown its all-Boeing 737 MAX fleet, now serving 23 destinations in 16 countries, including Canada, Mexico, and Argentina.
Startup Airline of the Year 2023
This impressive performance earned Arajet recognition as the 2023 World Aviation Summit’s Startup Airline of the Year.
Arajet’s 737-8 jets boast an impressive range of up to 3,500 nautical miles, enabling them to operate some of the longest routes in the region.
These efficient aircraft seamlessly connect the Caribbean to North and South America.

The Boeing 737 MAX is powered by CFM International LEAP-1B engines and features cutting-edge winglet modifications.
It delivers a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and emissions compared to previous generation airplanes. Additionally, the aircraft boasts a longer range and a 50% smaller noise footprint.

The single-aisle jets, ideal for popular routes including those to North America, will account for over 90% of the region’s future airplane demand.
Arajet’s commitment to a modern, fuel-efficient 737 MAX fleet positions them perfectly to capitalize on this growing market.

Arajet is the first low-fare airline in the Caribbean region. The carrier started operations in September 2022 from its base at Las Americas Airport in Santo Domingo.
Operations are conducted under its airline operator certificate (AOC) from the Dominican Republic. Arajet has continued its expansion plans to operate a new fuel-efficient fleet of Boeing 737-8 aircraft.
The fleet will support affordable travel to and from the Dominican Republic to several destinations in North, Central and South America, and the Caribbean region.
