In the last few moments, a CargoJet Boeing 757 from Vancouver has declared an emergency during it’s descent into Hamilton.

C-FGKJ is the aircraft involved in the incident.

UPDATE #1 @ 2009 UK time – The aircraft is still continuing to destination as planned.

UPDATE #2 @ 2012 UK time – C-FGKJ is the aircraft involved in the incident.

As per Planespotters, C-FGKJ is a 33.0 year old Boeing 757-200 Freighter that started out life with American Airlines in March 1992.

It was handed over to Jet Midwest in October 2013 for storage.

By December 2014, the aircraft was then given to CargoJet, the Canadian cargo carrier, where it has been since.

In the last few moments, a CargoJet Boeing 757 from Vancouver has declared an emergency during it's descent into Hamilton.

UPDATE #3 @ 2014 UK time – The Cargojet Boeing 757 operating the emergency W82402 flight from Vancouver is approaching Hamilton.

UPDATE #4 @ 2015 UK time – The aircraft has changed it’s squawk code to 4533.

Furthermore, we will continue to monitor the flight until arrival.

UPDATE #5 @ 2017 UK time – The aircraft is approaching the downwind leg into Hamilton.

It is still unclear why the 7700 broadcast was made briefly.

UPDATE #6 @ 2024 UK time – The aircraft is now on final approach into Hamilton.

UPDATE #7 @ 2028 UK time – TOUCHDOWN!

Emergency Cargojet flight W82402 from Vancouver has appeared to have touched down safely into Hamilton.

Furthermore, the reason for the 7700 broadcast is still unclear.

As soon as we have more information, we will update you accordingly.
