Marking their third anniversary, Breeze Airways has plans to significantly expand its operations from Providence, Rhode Island over the next five years. As well as this, the carrier has taken delivery of their 25th Airbus A220-300, registered as N235BZ. Finally, the carrier will also be offering 33% off roundtrip flights from May 29th till October 1.

Breeze first began selling tickets on May 21, 2021. Which back then was to just 16 destinations, and started flying six days later on May 27 with the inaugural flight between Tampa and Charleston.

Over these three years, the U.S. NLCC has carried more than five million passengers. They also now serves over 170 nonstop routes between 56 cities across 29 states.

However, for the first time since beginning operations, Breeze is expecting its first full-quarter of profitability in Q2 2024.

Onto the expansion plans at Providence Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD), the carrier currently operates 132 weekly flights to 18 destinations. However, the expansion will see the carrier ramp up to 200 weekly flights, across 35 destinations. This includes three international or U.S. territory cities.

Not only this but the expansion will also see Breeze base up to 12 aircraft in PVD. As well as double its employee count to 400.

In terms of fleet expansion plans, Breeze took delivery of its 25th A220 this month. They will then take an additional 65 A220s over the next five years. This averages out at approximately one aircraft every month. By fall 2024, the carrier will have phased out its old Embraer aircraft to operate an only-A220 fleet.
