Global aircraft leasing giant, BOC Aviation Limited, has significantly expanded its fleet with a landmark order for 120 new aircraft. The narrowbody order comprises Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
The company announced agreements to purchase 70 Airbus A320neo family aircraft and 50 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
It signals a strong confidence in single aisle future fleet expansions and meeting the growing demands of airline customers worldwide.
Airbus A320neo Order: A Long-Standing Partnership
BOC Aviation’s agreement with Airbus for 70 A320neo family aircraft continues a robust and enduring partnership. Deliveries are slated to occur through 2032, providing a steady stream of modern, fuel-efficient aircraft.
The order also includes valuable conversion rights. This flexibility allows BOC Aviation to adapt to evolving market needs by switching between different A320neo family variants.

Steven Townend, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of BOC Aviation explains the latest bulk order. “This transaction elevates our remaining Airbus orderbook to approximately 200 aircraft. It pushes our total Airbus deliveries beyond 700 since our inaugural order in 1996.”

Boeing 737 MAX Order: Fuel Efficiency and Future Growth
Simultaneously, BOC Aviation has solidified its commitment to Boeing by ordering 50 new 737 MAX 8 narrowbody aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled through 2031, further bolstering the company’s fleet with modern, fuel-efficient aircraft.
Similar to the Airbus agreement, this deal includes conversion rights, allowing for flexibility within the Boeing 737 family.
“Our strong partnership with Boeing has culminated in this 50-aircraft order for the fuel-efficient Boeing 737-8 aircraft,” explained Steven Townend.

“With this transaction, we have commitments to purchase over 140 of these aircraft, representing the largest Boeing orderbook position in our history. This order will enable us to continue providing our airline customers with technologically advanced aircraft for their future fleet growth.”
