BermudAir is poised to double its fleet with the addition of two Embraer 190AR-E1 aircraft in Spring 2025.

These versatile and fuel-efficient jets will join BermudAir’s existing fleet of Embraer aircraft, enhancing operational capabilities and providing a superior travel experience for passengers.

The Embraer 190, a proven workhorse in the aviation industry, offers a significant upgrade in capacity and range.

New Embraer 190 Fleet Additions

With 96 passenger seats, the new aircraft will accommodate more travelers and cargo compared to the current Embraer 175s. This increased capacity translates to more convenient travel options for passengers, including potentially shorter layovers and increased baggage allowances.

Furthermore, the extended range of 1,000 kilometers opens new possibilities for connecting Bermuda to a wider network of destinations.

“We are thrilled to take this next step in our journey,” said Adam Scott, Founder and CEO of BermudAir. “Adding these aircraft allows us to grow thoughtfully while maintaining the high standards of reliability and service our customers expect.”

“This expansion will support our efforts to stabilize operations, create new travel opportunities, and enhance the overall flying experience with BermudAir.”

On-Demand Charter & Increased Flight Frequencies

The third aircraft will serve as a dedicated spare and on-demand charter aircraft, ensuring operational flexibility and meeting the growing demand for private travel. The fourth aircraft will be instrumental in increasing frequencies on existing routes and exploring new markets, providing greater convenience and choice for travelers.

“Responsible growth is key to long-term success,” added Mr. Scott. “This expansion demonstrates our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our customers while delivering the exceptional service BermudAir is known for.”

With this fleet expansion, BermudAir is positioning for planned network developments. The new aircraft will support existing routes and the previously announced new destinations. These include Hartford, CT/Springfield, MA (BDL), Raleigh-Durham (RDU), and Charleston (CHS), with operations commencing in April 2025.
