An Azul Linhas Aereas Embraer ERJ-195 E2 operating from Belo Horizonte, Brazil to Florianopolis suffered two burst main wheel tyres during its landing on 12 August 2024.
Azul Linhas Aereas flight AD4225, an Embraer ERJ-195 E2 inbound from Aeropuerto Internacional Tancredo Neves (CNF) had conducted an approach and landing to RWY 32 Florianopolis.

During the landing phase, the aircraft suffered tyre blowouts to two left main gear tyres. As a result, the aircraft was brought to a stop and disabled on the active runway.
According to a statement made on behalf of Florianópolis International Airport, the passengers and crew of the disabled aircraft within disembarked safely.
The airport was temporarily closed to inbound and outbound traffic following the landing incident.
Flight data shows that flight AD4225 made a slightly delayed departure out of Belo Horizonte at 0003 local time on 12 August.
The flight then proceeded normally, climbing to flight level FL340 (34,000 feet) for the southerly service to Florianopolis International Airport.
Descent and approach procedures were similarly conducted normally, with the approach being made to RWY 32. Weather conditions were reported as visual meteorological conditions (VFR) at the time of landing.
