Azores Airlines Restarts Ponta Delgada-London Flights

Earlier this week, Azores Airlines restarted flights between Ponta Delgada and London, in a vital link for the Portuguese island.

It is understood the flights resumed on June 4, with an option for connectivity emphasised by the carrier.

The New Ponta Delgada-London Flights with Azores Airlines…

The flights between Ponta Delgada and London with Azores Airlines operates on a twice-weekly basis.

It is understood that the flights run on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Furthermore, it departs London at 1:35 pm and arriving in Ponta Delgada at 4:35 pm.

In the opposite direction, flights depart Ponta Delgada at 07:35 and arrive in London at 12:35.

Furthermore, it is understood that the flights are Summer seasonal until September 26 this year.

Commenting on the restart of flights between Ponta Delgada and London was Graça Silva, Director of Sales, Marketing and Communication at the SATA Group:

Overall, this is great news for Azores Airlines, as they tap into a major European market being London from Ponta Delgada.

Furthermore, with the airline advertising their StopOver Azores Program, this positions themselves well in encouraging tourism in the area.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how these flights perform over the Summer.

It will be interesting to see if they choose to offer Winter flights or not, especially if success is great on this route.
