Avianca Airlines is excited to announce the resumption of 11 direct international routes for the peak summer season.
These new flights will provide travelers with increased connectivity between various destinations in the Americas.
Destinations include Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Costa Rica, and several key cities in the United States.
Avianca US Route Resumptions
The US remains a key air market for Avianca. Taken overall, the seasonal US route resumptions will add over 20,000 seat capacity per week to the network.
- Las Vegas and Orlando to San Salvador
- Chicago to Guatemala City
- Washington to San José
- New York to San Pedro Sula, Cartagena, Pereira, and Cali
- Miami to Cartagena and Cali
- Orlando to Medellín
“The United States remains a crucial hub within our network,” said Rolando Damas, Avianca’s sales director for North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
“By adding these 11 direct routes, we’re strengthening our point-to-point connections and making it easier for travelers to explore the most popular destinations across the continent.”

A320 Network Operations
The new routes will operate on Airbus A320 family aircraft with a capacity of 180 passengers, offering over 20,000 weekly seats.
Avianca boasts a vast network facilitating travel across the Americas and Europe, with over 140 routes.
It operates more than 700 daily flights, and offers over 930,000 weekly seats connecting to 75 destinations in 25 countries.
