Avelo Airlines is making waves in the travel industry with the strategic opening of its eighth operational base at Wilmington International Airport (ILM) in Coastal North Carolina.

Avelo Airlines Network Growth
Adding to its growing network, Avelo has also announced a new, exclusive route connecting Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) with Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in Southern Connecticut.
This service, set to commence on May 15, 2025, will offer twice-weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays, providing a much-needed direct link between these two key regions.
These new routes will be operated using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft, known for their efficiency and passenger comfort.
This expansion reflects Avelo’s ongoing mission to deliver reliable and accessible air travel, a commitment that has been central to the airline’s operations since its inception in April 2021.

Since its inaugural flight on April 28, 2021, Avelo has carried over 6.6 million passengers across more than 53,000 flights.
Today, the airline serves 55 cities spanning 23 states and Puerto Rico. It operates to four international destinations in the Bahamas, Jamaica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
