Avation Plc Places ATR 72-600 with JCAS Airways

During this years Farnborough International Airshow, ATR has announced a LOI with JCAS Airways and Avation Plc for one ATR 72-600.

This article will detail how JCAS Airways received this ATR 72-600 from the lessor Avation Plc.

Back at the start of May, Avation Plc, a Singaporean based lessor, had announced an order for 10 ATR 72-600s. With the deliveries of these 10 set for between 2025 until 2028. The agreement further includes 24 purchase rights, with deliveries extending up to 2034.

The first of these 10 will be placed with new Japanese start-up carrier, JCAS Airways. The first delivery is currently scheduled for the end of 2025. The other nine Avation ATR aircraft are still yet to be confirmed as to who they will be going to.

JCAS Airways will be based out of Osaka’s Kansai International Airport (KIX). Their initial routes to the following Japanese cities –

  • Yonago Miho Airport (YGJ)
  • Toyama Airport (TOY)
