Stronger Commitment to the Thai Market
This significant boost in Bangkok-Vienna service reflects Austrian Airlines’ dedication to the Southeast Asian market.
“We’ve been connecting Vienna and Bangkok since 1988,” shared Brendan Shashoua, Lufthansa Group Senior Director Sales – Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
“Thailand remains a highly sought-after destination for Europeans. By increasing frequencies from Vienna to 13 flights per week, we’re addressing this strong demand.”
Shashoua continued, “The introduction of the A380, the world’s largest passenger aircraft, on flights from Bangkok to Munich last year exemplifies our commitment.”
“This latest development offers Thai travelers even greater choice and flexibility when flying to Europe with Lufthansa Group.”

The diplomatic ties between Thailand and Austria span over a century, and Austrian Airlines has proudly served as a bridge between the two nations for more than 35 years.
