ATR, the world’s leading manufacturer of regional aircraft, has announced its impressive 2024 full-year results.

Overall, the results show significant growth driven by successful partnerships with both existing and new customers.

The regional aircraft’s strong performance also highlights the continued demand for efficient and affordable regional air travel.

Surging Orders and Market Confidence

A key highlight of ATR’s 2024 performance is the substantial increase in aircraft orders. The company secured orders for 56 aircraft, a remarkable 40% jump from 2023.

This surge in demand further reflects the market’s acceptance of ATR’s product offerings. The order book comprises a mix of renewed commitments from established operators and exciting new partnerships with airlines and lessors.

Specifically, the orders included 51 of the popular ATR 72 and 5 of the smaller ATR 42 variant. This impressive performance brings ATR’s total backlog to over 150 aircraft, ensuring a healthy pipeline for future deliveries.

Global Markets

ATR’s success in 2024 extends across the globe. Asian carriers demonstrated significant engagement with the company, further solidifying ATR’s presence in this rapidly growing market.

Furthermore, ATR witnessed a surge in interest from Canadian operators, signaling potential expansion into new territories.

The year also marked the initial phase of the highly anticipated -600 series renewal, promising further advancements in ATR’s technology and performance.

Consistent Deliveries Amid Supply Chain Challenges

Despite ongoing pressures in the global supply chain, ATR maintained consistent delivery rates in 2024. The company delivered 35 aircraft, with one additional aircraft ready for delivery, meeting the guidance provided at the beginning of the year.

Looking forward to 2025, ATR anticipates another year of stabilization, acknowledging that supply chain tensions are likely to persist, particularly in the first half of the year.

Financial Strength

ATR’s financial performance in 2024 reflects its strong market position. The company generated $1.2 billion in revenue and confirmed a book-to-bill ratio well above 1, demonstrating healthy demand exceeding production.

Further evidence of the robust market for ATR aircraft is the nearly 100 transactions recorded in the second-hand market. This activity highlights the enduring value and desirability of ATR’s cost-effective and low-emission turboprop aircraft.

Boosting Customer Support and Services

ATR is committed to providing comprehensive support to its customers. In 2024, customer support and services revenue grew by 15%, reaching $480 million, building on a record performance from 2023.

This growth underscores the added value of ATR’s service offerings, which are designed to increase cost predictability for operators and provide access to shared resources.
