A Delta Air Lines flight from Paris to Atlanta was forced to divert to Dublin Airport on Monday, 27 November 2024, due to an unruly passenger.
Delta Flight DL83, operated by an Airbus A330-300, had departed from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). The flight was a scheduled service bound for Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

A male passenger reportedly became disruptive shortly after the flight’s departure from Paris. This prompted flight crew to make the decision to divert to Dublin.
The aircraft landed safely at Dublin Airport, where local authorities were waiting to meet the flight. In a subsequent statement, the Irish Gardaí confirmed the passenger in question had been taken into custody and charged.

“Gardaí have charged a man (30s) who was arrested following an incident on board an aircraft. The aircraft diverted to Dublin Airport today, Wednesday, 27th November 2024,” it read. The man was due to appear at the Dublin District Court this afternoon.
The airline confirmed the incident, stating, “We have zero tolerance for unruly behavior. The safety and security of our customers and crew is our top priority. We will work closely with law enforcement authorities to address this matter.”
Following the removal of the unruly passenger, the flight was able to continue its journey to Atlanta. Delta Air Lines did not provide further details about the nature of the incident or the identity of the passenger involved.

The flight and then set course normally and had climbed to FL330 before the diversion to Dublin was initiated.
