The airline has opened ticket sales for direct flights between New York Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) in Santo Domingo.

This strategic route, commencing operations on June 16th, aims to provide a crucial travel link for the substantial Dominican diaspora residing in the New York metropolitan area.

New York: A Critical Market

Victor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet, emphasized the key importance of New York for both leisure and family travel. “New York is a critical market for us to solidify our U.S. presence. The Newark service will complement our existing routes to Miami and San Juan.”

“It positions Arajet as a premier choice for U.S. travelers seeking leisure travel, family visits, or convenient connections to the Dominican Republic.”

The announcement was held at the Gregorio Luperón school in Washington Heights, a vibrant community with a strong Dominican heritage. It underscored the airline’s dedication to serving its core demographic.

The event was attended by Congressman Adriano Espaillat, and Dominican Consuls Jesús Vázquez and José Santana. It highlights the route’s importance to the local community and diplomatic relations.
