ANA Expands European Network With Flights to Milan, Stockholm and Istanbul

ANA will respond to European demand with new services to Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul as part of its forthcoming winter schedule.

All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s flagship carrier, is set to further expand its European network. This will see the addition of three new destinations to its portfolio.

As part of its ambitious 2024 winter schedule, ANA will introduce non-stop flights from Tokyo Haneda. These will operate to Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul.

This strategic move caters to the surging demand for international travel in the sector. It also further strengthens the bonds between Japan and these vibrant European cultural hubs.

New Route Scheduling

ANA will launch the new direct flights from Tokyo Haneda Airport on these dates:

  • December 3, 2024: Milan Malpensa Airport
  • January 31, 2025: Stockholm Arlanda Airport
  • February 12, 2025: Istanbul Airport

Shinichi Inoue, President and CEO of ANA, shared his thoughtsabout the expansion. “These new routes are a testament to ANA’s unwavering commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our global travelers.”

“By offering direct connections to Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul, we’re not just opening new flight paths.”

“We’re building bridges between cultures, facilitating business opportunities, and creating unforgettable travel experiences.”

“This expansion aligns perfectly with our management vision of ‘Uniting World in Wonder’. We can’t wait to see where these new routes will take our passengers.”

‘Uniting World in Wonder’ Initiative

The addition of Milan to ANA’s network marks a significant milestone, as it will be the airline’s first scheduled flight to this Italian fashion and design capital.

ANA expects this route to attract both business travelers and tourists eager to explore northern Italy’s rich cultural heritage and economic opportunities.

Stockholm, as ANA’s eighth European destination, opens up a gateway to the Nordic region. This new route will enhance convenience for passengers seeking to explore Scandinavia’s unique blend of modern innovation and natural beauty.

It’s anticipated to foster stronger ties between Japan and the Nordic countries in various sectors, including technology, sustainability, and cultural exchange.

The Istanbul route is a strategic move that dramatically improves ANA’s connectivity to the Middle East and Africa.

Leveraging Istanbul’s position as a major international hub, this new flight path will offer passengers seamless connections to a vast network of destinations.

Strengthening Existing Network Services

In addition to these new routes, ANA is also strengthening its existing European network. The airline proudly offers daily flights to Paris and Munich, catering to the high demand for these popular destinations.

Furthermore, the Vienna route is set to resume in August 2024, further solidifying ANA’s presence in Central Europe.

Summary

The latest network additions and frequency increases highlight the level of demand in the European travel market.

By providing direct links between Japan and these key international cities, ANA is also playing a crucial role in promoting bilateral exchanges and stimulating business opportunities.

The airline’s dedication to excellence is evident in its impressive track record, including 11 consecutive years of SKYTRAX’s 5-Star rating and consistently high rankings in on-time performance.
