As per The Aviation Herald, the first incident involved the aircraft operating American Airlines flight AA1023 New York-Charlotte having to return to the gate originally after pushback.
This was due to a passenger needing to be removed from the aircraft amid them having a fake passport and managed to get through security.

When the crew was attempting to bring the landing gear up after departure, the gear got stuck, and was discovered at 10,000 feet.
From there, a series of holds were implemented by the crew and decided on a diversion to JFK.
Overall, after over an hour in the air, American Airlines flight AA1023 from LaGuardia, originally bound for Charlotte, landed safely into New York JFK without further incident.
