Alaska Airlines, the official airline sponsor of the Seattle Kraken, has revealed its new Kraken-themed Boeing 737-9 MAX aircraft design to celebrate the upcoming NHL seasons.
This marks the second iteration of their partnership, further cementing the airline’s commitment to Seattle’s hockey team and its fans. The newly designed aircraft features the Seattle Kraken’s iconic logo and the coordinates of Climate Pledge Arena, the team’s home ice.
Set to soar across Alaska Airlines’ extensive network during the 2024-2026 seasons, this plane is sure to turn heads and ignite hockey enthusiasm wherever it lands. The aircraft is a 2.6 year old Boeing 737-9 MAX narrowbody; operational since March 2022.
In a clever nod to local sports media, the aircraft’s tail number, N933AK, pays homage to 93.3 KJR FM. This is Seattle’s Sports Leader and the official radio home of the Kraken. This neat attention to detail exemplifies the deep connection between the airline, the team, and the Seattle community.
