Alaska Airlines is further enhancing its summer 2025 route network with the introduction of nonstop flights connecting Anchorage to Detroit and Sacramento. The new services are set to launch on 14 June 2025.
In a move that further strengthens its Pacific Northwest presence, the airline is also reinstating nonstop service between Fairbanks and Portland, commencing 15 May 2025.
These strategic additions elevate the airline’s nonstop destinations between Anchorage and the Lower 48 and Hawaii to an unprecedented total of 15 for the summer season.

Summer 2025 Scheduling
The comprehensive summer 2025 nonstop service from Anchorage will reach major cities including Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, New York JFK, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle.
This extensive network ensures convenient access to Alaska from various regions across the United States.
Beyond its Alaska expansion, the airline is introducing several new seasonal routes throughout its network. Sacramento-based travelers gain direct access to popular Mexican coastal destinations Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, as well as convenient flights to Orlando and Tucson.
The winter season brings additional connectivity with nonstop service between Boise and Orlando, catering to theme park enthusiasts, plus a new route linking New York JFK and Puerto Vallarta.
