Alaska Airlines has secured approval for a new nonstop service connecting San Diego International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).
This route marks a significant milestone, as Alaska Airlines becomes the sole carrier offering this direct connection to the nation’s capital.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Transportation approved the airline’s application under the Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization Act of 2024.
With nearly four decades of service in San Diego, Alaska Airlines has consistently delivered exceptional customer care. The airline has maintained a presence at DCA since 2001. It currently offers nonstop flights from Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
