LONDON – Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, or THAI, was recently voted 4th place for World’s Best Airline Cabin Crew and for Best Airline Staff in the Asian continent.
The announcement was made this month at the Langham Hotel in London, United Kingdom at the Skytrax 2022 World Airline Awards. This award, according to the airline was reasonable and reflects Thailand’s national carrier with world class service standard and quality.
THAI has been one of Asia’s leading airlines until its financial turmoil in the 2015 and onwards, and of course during the pandemic. One might have believed that THAI would not achieve this status due to its recent cost cutting, but still its staff continues to shine on despite tough times.
Apart from this recognition, THAI’s world class service standard is also apparent through its excellent service mind and quality. This also allowed the airline to claim other Skytrax recognitions, including: 8th in World’s Best Airport Services; 8th in Best Economy Class Airline Catering; and 10th in Best First Class Airline Lounges in 2022.
The Thai national carrier has accomplished many fields in the customer service discipline, which reflects the commitment and dedication of the airlines loyal employees who have been working around the clock to uplift the airlines tarnished image, maximising the level of service quality and enhancing customer experience.
Not only the employees are making top notch services, but THAI employees are also committed to uphold the highest level of safety.
Thai Airways & Skytrax
Thai Airways has enjoyed a comfortable relationship with Skytrax, as previously the airline has ranked higher in the ‘best airline’ ranks. Thai Airways made to the Top 10 Best Airlines award on Skytrax several times.
Thai Airways has made the 5th ranking in 2011, 9th ranking in 2012, 10th ranking in 2018 and 10th ranking in 2019. In 2022, Thai Airways’ ranking stood at 23. The Airline has reinstated its commitment to return to the top tier once again, once air travel has fully recovered.
The State of Thai Airways
The Thai national carrier has been marred by mis-management, and has been losing ground to other regional carriers, like Singapore Airlines. The airline has already put its ‘customer service’ aspect into line, but still has to make significant improvements on catering and its hard product.
