LONDON – SKY express has officially launched its direct, daily flights from Athens to Rhodes. The Greek island continues to write new chapters in the country’s tourism development while also being at the top of the list for the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean.
After a year of expansion for the privately-owned fleet of SKY Express, it saw six brand new Airbus A320neo aircraft entered into its service, with the airline now constantly introducing new destinations. To this effect, after Thessaloniki and Larnaca in Cyprus, the time had come for the Dodecanese.
The airline said that they are deeply committed to providing its customer’s unhindered interconnection in Greece from one end to the other, and with the addition of the new direct route from Athens to Rhodes into its flight schedule, it signifies a “new and upgraded presence in Rhodes, rendering it the base for Dodecanese travelers who will be onwards able to have direct access to Athens and from there, to all the rest domestic and international destinations. The same applies for domestic and international travelers, who will use “Diagoras” as the airport of arrival in some of the most beautiful islands of the South Aegean.”
With the airlines’ competitive fares, low environmental footprint thanks to its A320neo aircraft, SKY express has taken another step forward to mark itself as a dominant force in the Greek aviation industry.
