A look back at the first delivery
Back in late September, FlyArystan took delivery of their first of the Airbus A320neo aircraft, registered EI-KBP.
The delivery of the first A320neo became exciting news, with both ACG and FlyArystan both giving comments.
Aviation Capital Group (ACG) Vice President Marketing for Central Asia, Middle East and Africa, Claudio Cheinquer, calls the delivery exciting, saying: “ACG is very excited to be a partner of Air Astana and FlyArystan in this momentous occasion.”
Vice President Claudio Cheinquer further added: “This is the airline’s first new A320neo from Airbus’ assembly line, and it marks a major milestone evidencing the airline’s successful growth trajectory.”
Managing Director of FlyArystan, Adrian Hamilton-Manns, commented on the announcement, saying: “FlyArystan is the first low-cost carrier in Central Asia. We operate more than 60 domestic and international destinations with a fleet of 11 A320s.”
“With the arrival of our 12th aircraft, our first new Airbus A320neo, FlyArystan will expand our route network and will offer affordable flights to a larger market.”
He further added: “The increased seat capacity from 180 to 188 seats per aircraft is the most significant eco-project in the FlyArystan profile. This new aircraft, which we have named Leo, will be the first of 7 committed A320neo Family aircraft and will start the era of young generation fleet.”
“The A320neo Family aircraft will enable us to lower fares and encourage more people to travel. It’s a very exciting time for FlyArystan.”
About FlyArystan
FlyArystan (KC), is a Kazakhstan based low cost airline, based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The low cost carrier is a formally owned subsidiary of Kazakh carrier, Air Astana.
Founded in November of 2018, the carrier commenced with sales in late March of 2019, with their inaugural flight running on May 1st the same year.
During a press conference in early November of 2018, Air Astana Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Peter Foster, was quoted as saying:
“FlyArystan is on the one hand a response to demand for lower airfares in a more competitive local market, on the other, a recognition of the huge opportunity for low cost air travel throughout Central Asia and the Caucasus.”
With the airlines key people being Air Astana CEO Peter Foster, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ibrahim Canliel and FlyArystan’s own Managing Director, Adrian Hamilton-Manns, the carrier has come a great way with it’s expanding fleet and route network.
Overall
The delivery of the newest A320neo to the Kazakh carrier marks itself as the second of seven deliveries that the carrier is expecting of the type, as well as it also marks another milestone in the FlyArystan fleet.
WIth two other A320neos registered EI-KBR and EI-KBS on order, FlyArystan will most likely see great opportunities in terms of routes and cost reductions, as more of them join the fleet.
