LONDON – U.S. Carrier Delta Air Lines, a SkyTeam giant is set to resume flights from Los Angeles International Airport to Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) as of the 30th of October, in light of the country’s border easing anticipations.

New Services to Bulster Deltas LA Hub

The route will be set to operate thrice weekly on October 30, and the airline plans to fly the route on a daily basis, as of the 1st of December. The resurrected route will utilise the brand new and efficient Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, featuring the award-winning cabins of Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort + and Main Cabin services.

The carrier will start new services from Honolulu Hawaii to the Japanese capital (Haneda Airport) on December 1, also under the anticipation of high demand as border restrictions eases.

This new starting point from Hawaii will be the first service from Delta to serve Tokyo via Honolulu. However, there have been constant touts that the route will start, but the pandemic had thrown down plans numerous times. This route will be flown by the Boring 767-300ER.

Haneda is the new mini-Detroit

Haneda is one of the most important airports for Delta, serving the airline’s hub in Asia. Delta flies to Haneda from main American gateways such as Seattle, Atlanta and Detroit. Despite Haneda not being a prominent Skyteam airport, Delta is marking its territory there.
