LONDON – Croatia Airlines brought back the country’s national football team home after a secured third-place victory in the FIFA World Cup 2022.

9A-CTH was the Airbus A319 that operated the flight today between Doha and Zagreb, with the football team onboard.
As per RadarBox.com, 9A-CTH operated CTN8501, having departed Doha at 1358 local time today, and arrived in Zagreb at 1724 local time.
Croatia Airlines said the following on LinkedIn about returning the squad back to the country:
“Proud to heaven because we had the honor of being a part of this great and magnificent success!”
The airline also released photos of the aircraft upon arrival back into Zagreb, which you can see below:
The Croatian national football team made it all of the way through to the Semi-Finals before subsequently losing to the new World Cup champions, Argentina.
This placed the team into a third-place play-off against Morocco, in which they beat the team 2-1.
We will no doubt see the flights for the French and Argentinian national teams in the next few days to both celebrate and also commiserate.
This is a developing story.
