Another E-Jet for LOT has arrived in Warsaw

WARSAW – LOT Polish Airlines has acquired yet another eighth Embraer E190. This is also the 41st Embraer in LOT’s fleet. The additional aircraft will increase LOT’s capacity in the summer season. Plane arrived in Poland on last Thursday 14th July.

Embraer (MSN19000487) and SP-LMG registration, is leased from Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC).

The repositioning route (July 14) of flight LO9002 was: Bydgoszcz Airport (BZG) – Oslo (OSL) – Warsaw (WAW).

The newest E190 was produced in October 2011, at which time it was delivered to Air Astana. Then, after being withdrawn by the Kazakh carrier, the aircraft was parked by NAC at Bydgoszcz Airport from 2019 to 2022.

LOT’s new acquisition, like the other E190s, takes 106 passengers on board. The Embraer does not yet have LOT Polish Airlines colours, but it will probably receive them in near future in Warsaw at LOT AMS maintenance facility.

E-Jet customer

LOT uses all versions of the popular E-Jets.

Embraer E170 – first delivery 8 March 2004.
Embraer E175 – first delivery 25 April 2006.
Embraer E190 – first delivery 17 December 2018.
Embraer E195 – first delivery 11 April 2011.

There are currently 75 aircraft in LOT’s fleet, including 41 Brazilian aircraft: six E170s, 12 E175s (including two at the government’s disposal), eight E190s and 15 E195s.

LOT Renews and Expands Services Agreement with Embraer

Embraer and LOT Polish Airlines announced at the Farnborough Airshow 2022 edition, they have signed a contract to renew and expand the Pool Program to support LOT’s fleet of Embraer E-Jets.

In the new agreement, LOT will also add seven E-Jets to the original contract, with the Pool now covering a total of 44 aircraft and over 300 components. Currently, Embraer’s Pool Program supports more than 50 airlines worldwide.

LOT Polish Airlines is the launch customer of E-Jets, with the E170 entering into service in 2004. LOT, a Pool customer since 2012, is the only airline to operate all four variants of E-Jets in their fleet. The Pool Program will support LOT’s current fleet of 21 E170s and E175s and up to 23 E190s and E195s.

Embraer’s Pool Program is designed to allow airlines to minimize their upfront investment in high-value repairable inventories and resources, while taking advantage of Embraer’s technical expertise and vast repair service provider network for components.

The results are significant savings on repair and inventory carrying costs, reduction in required warehousing space, and the virtual elimination of the need for resources required for repair management, while ultimately providing guaranteed performance levels.
