LONDON – airBatlic has confirmed that it will be offering up to 92 routes this summer as the airline looks to focus on a stronger recovery after COVID-19 restrictions for the last two summers hurt passenger travel numbers and demand. The flights will be operated from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, and Tampere which continues to see the Latvian carrier as the best offer for flight connectivity to business centers and transit hubs around Europe.
Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “This year started already with significantly larger capacity and now we offer our customers a growing number of travel opportunities, including a wide selection of sunny leisure destinations. In May, we will also launch our first base outside the Baltics in Tampere.”
Over the summer the carrier will offer 64 destinations from its hub in Riga, 13 destinations from Tallinn, 12 destinations from Vilnius, and 7 destinations from Tampere.
The new base in Tampere, Finland will be the first base outside of the Baltics launched by the carrier, however, there has been no confirmation on the exact number of routes that this new base will operate. It is likely that it will be expanded from the original seven routes that the airline will operate from there during the summer schedule.
