The airline will recommence its flights to Queensland’s winter warmth three times a week on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday until October 2024.

Sunshine Coast: A Slice of Paradise

The Sunshine Coast, a vibrant region north of Brisbane, Queensland, is a magnet for sun-seekers and nature lovers alike.

Boasting over 100 kilometers of stunning coastline, the Sunshine Coast offers everything from world-class surf breaks and golden sands to lush rainforests and national parks.

Noosa Heads, a jewel in the Sunshine Coast’s crown, is renowned for its upscale boutiques, waterfront dining, and pristine Noosa National Park.

High Demand for Sunshine

Air New Zealand will relaunch this route, citing strong pre-booking numbers as evidence that Kiwis are eager to trade their winter woolies for swimsuits.

“We’re seeing a lot of excitement for the Sunshine Coast,” says Air New Zealand General Manager International Jeremy O’Brien.

“With its stunning beaches, delicious food, and year-round sunshine, it’s no wonder this destination is a favorite among Kiwis.”

‘Seats to Suit’

This winter, Air New Zealand’s “Seats to Suit” option adds another layer of comfort to your Sunshine Coast getaway. This offering on short-haul international flights provides in-flight entertainment, snacks, and flexible booking options at an affordable price.

The carrier also offers connections to other popular Australian destinations throughout winter, including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Cairns, and the Gold Coast.

“Australia is a key market for us,” explains O’Brien. “This seasonal service allows not only Kiwis to escape the winter. It also provides a chance for our Australian customers to explore New Zealand’s stunning winter scenery.”
