airBaltic Continues To Soar: 13% Rise in Passenger Numbers for August

This week, airBaltic has reported a 13% increase in passenger numbers, as the airline continues to rise at a strong pace.

The airline has outlined it’s numbers today (September 11), which paints a strong picture in terms of position.

airBaltic and August 2024 was a strong month for the Latvian carrier, as you can see from the numbers below:

As you can see from the numbers, everything has grown strongly for the airline in August, with this trend expected to continue over the course of this year.

CEO Martin Gauss: Record-Breaking Results…

Commenting on the strong August result was airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss who said the following:

“Throughout this summer, we have observed significant overall passenger growth with several record-breaking results and have continued to maintain strong operational performance with an increased number of flights.”

“Recently, we announced plans to launch 16 new routes for the upcoming summer season from the Baltic States – four from Riga, five from Tallinn, and seven from Vilnius.”

airBaltic is the connectivity backbone for the entire Baltic region and with the continuing network expansion, we are further strengthening our position as the leading and most favored airline in the Baltic States.”

In conclusion, it is clear that airBaltic continues to remain in a strong and steady position, with the August numbers showing that.

Furthermore, all eyes will be on what September looks like, as the Summer season comes to a close.

What will be interesting will be what the Winter 2024/25 season will look like for the airline.

They recently announced a network expansion by launching 16 new routes ahead of their IPO.

One thing is for sure: The only way is up for the airline based in the Baltic States.
