Air Serbia marked a further fleet milestone with the arrival of its fourth wide-body aircraft, an Airbus A330-200. The aircraft, registered as YU-ARE, touched down at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, sporting a distinctive EXPO 2027 livery.
This new addition underscores Air Serbia’s commitment to expanding its long-haul network and supporting Serbia’s bid to host this prestigious event.
Fourth Airbus A330-200
Manufactured in 2014, A330 YU-ARE is configured in two-class layout, accommodating 22 passengers in business class and 240 in economy. The spacious layout is designed to enhance the passenger experience on long-haul flights, connecting Belgrade with destinations worldwide.
Jiri Marek, CEO of Air Serbia gave comment on the new fleet arrival. “Our new aircraft for long-haul flights is an important addition and will contribute to further expanding our network of destinations.”
“As the national airline, we want to offer strong support to the specialized EXPO 2027 exhibition. This will take place in Belgrade from 15 May to 15 August 2027. That is why this aircraft is adorned with that logo.”
“We hope that passengers will enjoy the comfort that YU-ARE provides and that their flights to North America and the People’s Republic of China will be enjoyable.”

The application of the EXPO 2027 livery was a meticulous undertaking. A team of eight professionals worked in two shifts over five days. They applied 270 individual decals to create the striking visual.
A330-200 YU-ARE is powered by two Rolls-Royce engines, each generating 71,100 N of thrust. With a wingspan of 60 meters and a length of approximately 59 meters, the aircraft is capable of reaching a maximum cruising altitude of 41,450 feet.
This capability makes it well-suited for long-haul flights, connecting Belgrade with distant destinations.

EXPO 2027
The EXPO 2027 branding prominently displayed on the aircraft serves as a powerful symbol of Serbia’s connection with the world. It highlights Belgrade’s opportunity to shine on the global stage during this specialized exhibition.
Dušan Borovčanin, CEO of EXPO 2027 Belgrade d.o.o., emphasized the significance of this collaboration. “The visual identity of EXPO 2027 on the new Air Serbia aircraft represents another strong symbol of Serbia’s connection with the world.”
Belgrade has an opportunity to present itself on the global stage through this specialized exhibition, he explained.
“This aircraft, which will connect Belgrade with key international destinations, simultaneously carries a message about the importance of EXPO 2027 and contributes to its worldwide recognition. We are proud that EXPO 2027 is already receiving such significant support.”
