Air France is set to broaden its long-haul network, introducing a fresh, direct route to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
This latest development marks a significant expansion into the Middle East for the French national carrier.
Starting 19 May 2025, travelers will see direct flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Riyadh. Initially, Air France will operate three weekly flights. These will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, spanning from May 19 to June 1, 2025.
Following this introductory period, the airline will increase its frequency. From June 2, 2025, onwards, five weekly flights will be available, running on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays throughout the summer season.
Airbus A350 Operations
The flights will utilize the modern Airbus A350-900 aircraft. This aircraft offers a comfortable travel experience with 324 seats. Passengers can choose from 34 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 266 Economy Class seats.
Here’s the flight schedule, presented in local time:
- AF684: Departs Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 11:20 p.m., arriving in Riyadh at 6:25 a.m. the following day.
- AF685: Departs Riyadh at 8:40 a.m., arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 2:20 p.m.

Group Airlines Serving Saudi Arabia
This new route means all three airlines within the Air France-KLM Group – Air France, KLM, and Transavia – will now serve Saudi Arabia.
Transavia France already connects Paris-Orly and Lyon to Jeddah, a service that began in December 2024. KLM provides links from its Amsterdam-Schiphol hub to both Riyadh and Dammam.
Furthermore, this launch strengthens the existing partnership between Air France and Saudia Airlines. This collaboration aims to enhance travel options and improve connectivity for passengers.
