Air France Runs Special Flights From Los Angeles for Cannes Film Festival

Lights, camera, voler! Air France, a proud and long-standing partner of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, is thrilled to announce special flights from Los Angeles for the 2025 season.

This May, Air France will once again connect Los Angeles and Nice with exclusive flights, offering a seamless travel experience to the heart of cinematic glamour and the breathtaking French Riviera.  

These special flights offer West Coast travelers an unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the Cannes Film Festival, a global celebration of cinema.

Imagine strolling the red carpet, rubbing shoulders with industry giants, and witnessing the premieres of highly anticipated films. Beyond the festival, the French Riviera beckons with its sun-kissed beaches, charming towns, and luxurious lifestyle.

And for motorsport enthusiasts, the timing perfectly coincides with the Monaco F1 Grand Prix, adding another layer of excitement to your Riviera adventure.  

Direct Flights from Los Angeles to Nice


Air France will support trips to the Riviera with two dedicated flights:

  • Outbound: Flight AF041 departs Los Angeles on May 12, 2025, at 1:15 PM. It arrives in Nice the following day at 9:40 AM.  
  • Return: Flight AF040 departs Nice on May 26, 2025, at 1:55 PM. It arrives in Los Angeles the same day at 4:55 PM.

Airbus A350 Operations

These exclusive flights will be operated by the state-of-the-art Airbus A350, showcasing Air France’s latest cabin innovations.

Business Class: Experience ultimate privacy in your own personal suite. The suite comes complete with a sliding door and a fully lie-flat bed nearly 2 meters long.  

Premium Economy: Relax in the latest recliner-style seats with a generous 48-cm wide seat pan and a 121° recline.

Economy Class: Enjoy ergonomic comfort with specially designed seat foam, a 119° recline, and ample legroom.  

Earlier this week, Air France revealed plans to launch new flights between Paris CDG and Manila for the upcoming Winter 2024/25 season.

All cabins feature in-flight Wi-Fi, keeping passengers connected throughout the journey, and wide, high-definition individual touch screens. It offers a vast library of entertainment, including a curated selection of films perfect for any movie lover.  

The Airbus A350 represents a significant step forward in reducing environmental impact, boasting 25% lower CO2 emissions compared to previous generation aircraft. Its quieter operation also contributes to a 40% reduction in noise footprint.  

Cannes Lions and Beyond: More Flights to Nice

Air France is also catering to the advertising and creative community with four special flights between New York-JFK and Nice for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity (June 16-20, 2025). These flights, operated by the Boeing 777-300ER, provide convenient travel options for attendees.

Expanding US Network for Summer 2025

Air France is expanding its US network for the 2025 summer season, adding Orlando, Florida, as a new direct destination from Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

This expansion brings Air France’s total US destinations to 18 and North American destinations to 25, offering even more travel opportunities.
